My First year has pass at Calvary

Sunday morning I try haveing breafast out at Starbuck's. Yes... Stewardship is here an you can have breafast at home. But a Sunday I what it a special day of the week. A day to reflect the week I been. A moment in looking forward in my pastor sermon today.

I found that in every were there someone that woodtalk. Not saying I don't like a good talk but this a high school student was talking about breafast, then were to eat at.

Subway and McDonald's. Yes she whated some real food and McDonald's Hot Cakes sasage and a Sprike will hit the spot.

After leasoning for a while I started to church in hoping someone will be there. Going in to sit down in the new library that Calvary had made for the member for the church. I was going over my book placeing the new photo's I made during this pass month. Seeing some of the young adult his and some are on vacation.

Well you know the first picture is Calvary in china town. The second picture is the book before I put the information pictures and photo's over to my memory book on the third picture. First Book date are Auguest 28, 2005 at 10:40am - March 12,2005 12:00pm plus hour or so. Second book is March 19, 2006 - June 18, 2006. Today sermon was with a Pastor in Texas his name is Todd Adams. The Sermon titled So Where is your heart? Todd was telling about his child hood with his first thing his really enjoy as a kid growing up in the U.S of A. His first thing he owen was a big wheel. He drive it down his pearents drive way across the street and in to has neyber. But when he grown up to be 16 he had to give up his big wheel. He didn't own it his mother and father buy it. Red, Yellow, Green, brown and Blue. For each has memory behild each color. Don't forget brown was the first color in M&M's.

But ending the service Amy told that in every one are gift to the church. Like today Will Short first year in Calvary that a gift. A solo tenor Joe Price is so to get married soon. Heve one is a gift in Calvary.

I know I should not like to line of life for every one to know me. I do. I enjoy people knowing to talk to new people having a hand out to shake.

Ever at lease we all had a page of M&M before end of service for that date. I looking forward in seeing Todd in November to follow up in Stewardship.

After service today we had ower coffee hour and talk to some of the choir groups. D said that Calvary us to go out on picnic for the summer inturn. I said us to. But mybe it will be some thing be comeing soon.

I found that Eric told me that there going to Legal Seafood for lunch So I Eric, Allyson and hand full of people went to Legal Seafood. I had the:

LOBSTOR ROLL: the meat equivalent to a 1-1 1/4 lb. lobster miexd with celbery, scallions and myonnaise for and a Legal's New England Clam Chowder Bowl was great...

We talk about New Orleans and one of the member of Calvary when for a week. Some time I wish the bad thing don't happen. I enjoy some of the people that us to live down in New Orlean. I enjoy leasoning to what they had to say.

I what to say it has been a good year in Calvary and looking forward in my next one. My second one will be a small partty. I be looking forward in getting it together for the big event.

Plus I what to Take to the following people: Amy, John Mein, Jodi and Tanya. For being there for me and understand some of the thing I wish or hope for in Calvary.

First Year in Calvary Baptist

Yes it my first year in Calvary Baptist Church... I hope Amy don't have copy right on this picture.... This is the Sunday I found Calvary and my heart just when out to this church... I just finish playing my Auguest 28, 2005 cassette tape of Amy sermon. Remembering that day just like yesterday. Didn't know how to hed the hymnal. Alway in the back three row away from the door. I just that that one of the two people that welcome me to the church. I miss John Mein, I still look forward in Amy sermon.

I been slowly learning about Calvary and his history in Washington, DC. I was walking around the church for the last 30 years. And never think about walking in until he brought me in to life.

We in the end of the sermon remebering give up your life and pick up the cross... I just what to say it sounded cool until I found what it really mean six month again. It doing the christen way of life. We all come to to that point in life we turn away the sinfull way on turn to Jesus for is way of life. His will not are own will.

baptist church from the last six month I been putting together a memeber book of Calvary. And I'll be bring it to Calvary to shair the moment together with many of the wonderful memebers of the church.

September 10,2006 will be my first day back from summer from choir. I enjoy seeing the people in church at the sametime. To sing out the hymns. Seeing the church family has gave me more home then ever.

Plus you ask why I don't get it in a order maner. First I look back on the same box found the first row look for Amy first with her name on one of the cassette tape. I made a copy for only $2.00 and it worth every peny. If they didn't told me the price of the tape were I wood give $5.00 a tape. It still worth every peny of it.

Yesterday afternoon Monday I was sitting down borning some time to go bible study. We'll I started leasoning my 8/28/05 cassette tape over a ice cream sunday... Well wood be nice to leasoning a Sunday sermon over a ice cream Sunday.

By to way I don't know the year. But ice cream sunday was band on sunday because it was that it was a sin full deseart that it could not be sold on Sundays. It is over THANK YOU...

Auguest 28, 2005 morning

I was getting up to go to my first Baptist service. "don't forget it not First Baptist Church. But the Calvary as a Baptist church." I was still calling it mass, you know. I walk out from the parking lot of my biulding to catch the 23 bus to crystal city metro. I took the Yellow line to Gallery Place Chinatown. It was about 10:40am... We'll it does not start in a hour... Some thing told me to walk by to see what time it start. I ask the person at the door. He said it just starting... I was so happy I didn't miss it. I was stilling three paw from the back middle of the church. First person that meet me greated me to Calvary was John and ran over the bring over Amy. They are two of Calvary I will never forget. I don't have to I join the church on November of 2005. But when they got up on the polpit. The first thing came to my mind is wow Amy is a Pastor... We'll after service I walk down knowing that every body ran off to start there Sunday. Untill I got down stairs and there they were. I though it was a dream people getting to gether talking to one another.

We'll I was huck from there on forward... Amy showed me to Jodi the young adult group member gave me the information on the group. From then I didn't miss a Sunday until the Snow day... But that one I post it or my need to post. For the rest of my monday morning go to my other BLOG page. Thank you

From this day to now and to the future... What I didn't know to what I know now and looking foward in what I learn in the future... To learn the bible sometime you need other who what to same thing... Sometime we need a drive together for glory fied ower Lord Jesus Christ. And what a best place to do it then at Calvary Baptist Church of Washington, DC.

My one year in Calvary

It is amazing it been over year until August 28, 2006 Monday. I have been hearing the gospels Leason, The Great sermon and being with the choir.

My next event to look forward to is my me joining with the church as a memeber. It on November 6, 2006.

My Baptist year in day is January 1, 2007. If anyone is keeping with mypath in Calvary rose petalls from the baptism pool in Calvary.

They are more moment that I can say but I'll keep them for my other BLOG sit.

For the year I been in Calvary I been learning more and more about the great words of the bible. We'll let me try to say...

I alway what to know what is going in the church. Everybody goes throw the front door. Wail I walk throw the back door, choir room, kitchen, walk throw the Sanctuary way before service starts. And I got to say if you been in Calvary you'll never forget how beautiful it is in the Sanctuary.

Sit down to a very good Sunday School. Seeing the setup on the pulpit before service start. Setting up the microphone in the pulpit. Getting reading with sounds and reacording of the service.

Before the choir has the summer off. I alway remeber who wonderful to see so many wonderful people to join us on this fine Sunday. That minute that you can capure thous moment will last a life time. No it not the magic kingdom. But Calvary Baptist Church been part of downtown DC for the last 144 years.

Also I found more information on the church throu Dr. King Library third floor. I going to go thou the first book that been given out in Calvary way before I was born. Blue prints of Calvary before it been change to as we see it now.

We'll there so much I can say how much Calvary mean to me. But you got to check it out. Don't forget the coffe hour. I also know the lady who set it up for us. A very nice lady.

Associate Member First Baptist Church

Today I fianlly got my picture of my associate memeber for the First Baptist Church.... Assoicate Memeber??? Why I a associate memeber when you have Calvary Baptist is your member ship..

I only can say that Febuary of this year I found there bible study and more...

I don't not mean I love my church lase. It don't mean I love First Baptist lase...

Jim said "Will love church so much... One church is not engouh."

I hope some people understand. I whole new world. See so much people who care for one another. It not like what is in for me. What can I do for you, love, care, understand will be there for one another.

Being mineful and prayerful for one another.

Being part of both church gave me a open eye on who both church work. How they form there hymns and do communion on the first Sunday. When a memeber leave the church for a not life in another place or country. They give a bread for the journey.

A prayer a bitter sweet moment. So on July 2,2006 I and my mother gone over to First Baptist Church. Even it a new path also it was pot luck and Jim six year been with First Baptist.

During the final hymn, you are invited to come forward if you are in need
of prayer, or if you would like to make a public commitment to Christ
and want to join with our family of faith.

t was a nice pot luck my mother didn't had a good time at church when she was living at home with her mother.

Jim cut the cake and had ice cream... I not really a cake person but the ice cream help it. Plus I like milk in my coffee so I put a deep of ice cream in my coffee...

One of the member of the church was a manager of a movie theater an was inviting church member for a free movie, popcorn and soda, coffee tea plus ice drink.

I thank him every much. I good person, father and a family man.

Even I had in my mind in switching my memeber. But I not a person how run when it start raining. I don't what to forget where I started and don't what to end with tears and a heart brake... SO HANG TIET. KEEP A BIG SMILE. And know the big man love me so much showed me two home for me.

I still don't know who I try to spit both church in my time. Choir is starting in Calvary in September and we my have a retreat coming up for the choir member to brush up on the singing. So I need to make a long story short...

I hope the one at my church will know I be there. I my be a person how talk mybe to much. But it so good. I wish on day I can shair my moment with someone else.
